FANTOM is a new DAG based Smart Contract platform that intends to solve the scalability issues of existing public distributed ledger technologies.

Fantom

Harmony is a blockchain platform designed to facilitate the creation and use of decentralized applications (DApps). The network aims to innovate the way decentralized applications work by focusing on random state sharding, which allows creating blocks in seconds.

According to the project’s website, Harmony is expected to introduce cross-shard contracts and a cross-chain infrastructure by the end of 2021.

Polygon (Previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications.

Using Polygon, one can create Optimistic Rollup chains, ZK Rollup chains, stand alone chains or any other kind of infra required by the developer.

Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is a L1 blockchain network that runs on a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, that aims to enable developers to build dApps and help users manage their digital assets with low latency and large capacity. BSC implements the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which allows it to run Ethereum-based applications. BNB is the network’s PoS token that can be staked to contribute to network security and vote on governance proposals.

Celo is a blockchain ecosystem focused on increasing cryptocurrency adoption among smartphone users.

By using phone numbers as public keys, Celo hopes to introduce the world’s billions of smartphone owners, including those without banking access, to transacting in cryptocurrency.

The network also allows for the creation of smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps) as part of decentralized finance (DeFi). Its mainnet was launched in April 2020.

The platform has two native tokens. CELO is a proof-of-stake (PoS) token used for transaction fees, governance participation and related activities. In future, the platform aims to host various stablecoins, with one, the Celo Dollar (CUSD), already in use.

OKC is a layer 1 blockchain network built on the Cosmos platform by OKX, the widely-used cryptocurrency spot and derivatives exchange. 
OKC is one of the first networks to be both EVM and IBC compatible, which allows it to run Ethereum smart contracts and to communicate with other blockchain networks in the Interchain ecosystem. Alongside its mainnet launch, OKC issued its native token, OKT, which serves as the base token for the OKC blockchain's Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism. Its DPos mechanism allows users to earn rewards for participating in the network by staking their OKT.

Solana is a general purpose blockchain similar to Ethereum. It has a different technical underlying such that developers write applications using Rust instead of Solidity or Vyper. One of its biggest feature is its scalability in which Solana is able to process over 700,000 transactions per second. Its high throughput capability appeals to high frequency traders, in which spearheaded by FTX and Alameda Research.
